I have a john deere 116h that the hydrostat trans beggins to slip after it reaches operating tempertures
The JD hydrostatic trans uses hydraulic operated pistons to engage the directional clutches. It very likely is piston seals or the directional valve leaking when the oil gets thinner with heat or it could be worn clutch discs. You may try changing the oil and if that doesn't work your JD dealer can pressure test the system and determine if it is a hyd problem or worn discs.
